Brock Norman Brock

Brock Norman Brock is an award-winning screenwriter.

He is the co-writer of the critically acclaimed biographical film BRONSON, directed by Nicolas Winding Refn and starring Tom Hardy as the notorious British criminal.

More recently, Brock co-wrote the feature film THE MUSTANG, directed by Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre and starring Matthias Schoenaerts, Bruce Dern and Connie Britton. The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and was distributed by Focus Features. It was a great critical success and holds a certified fresh approval rating of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Brock’s further credits include Idris Elba’s directorial debut YARDIE for StudioCanal, based upon the British crime novel of the same name. The film was screened in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival in 2018. He’s also the writer of THE MARRIAGE OF REASON & SQUALOR directed by Jake Chapman and PUBLIC SEX directed by Simon Ellis.

Earlier in Brock’s career, his stage play HERE IS MONSTER was nominated for the Verity Bargate Award. The premiere production was staged by the Show of Strength Theatre Company and directed by Mark Ravenhill. Brock served as a production executive at the UK Film Council, where his production credits include THE CONSTANT GARDENER, THE PROPOSITION, YOUNG ADAM, GOSFORD PARK and Mike Leigh’s VERA DRAKE.

Brock is currently in development on several feature and television projects, including for Freemantle, Iconoclast, Two & Two, BBC Films and Minor Realm.
