David Mahmoudieh
David Mahmoudieh is an award-winning director and writer of commercials, film and television.
David has two original features in development: action-thriller AMERICAN VINTAGE with Terry Crews attached to star and produce alongside Sundance-winning producer Josh Bachove, which is set to commence principal photography in early 2025; and subversive horror-thriller HHH, with Ariel Winter attached to star and produce. He will next write and direct the upcoming feature WORTH, based on the acclaimed graphic novel, for Star Trek creators Roddenberry Entertainment.
On the small screen, David has directed on Warner Bro’s hit TV show SUPERMAN & LOIS and is set to direct the first block of upcoming limited series JOKER’S DOWNFALL, starring Dougray Scott and Chin Han.
David’s short film SNAKE DICK won multiple Oscar-qualifying awards on the international festival circuit, going viral online where it amassed millions of views and a cult following. A feature adaptation is currently in the works.
Selected for the esteemed Sony Diverse Directors Program and the highly-coveted DGA TV Mentorship Program, David won the ECU Screenwriting Contest with his spec script RAIN, currently in development with Neve Campbell, who will star and produce.
David is a proud Industry Ambassador for Kids In The Spotlight, a non-profit that transforms the lives of foster youth through filmmaking; PARALLEL, a short David directed that was written by its foster youth, won numerous awards and accolades for the charity.
David’s commercial work includes directing spots for Google, Lego, and Porshe, amongst others.
Born in the UK to an Iranian father and British-French mother, David is based between London and LA and holds dual US-UK Citizenship.
