Freddie Fox

Freddie Fox is a theatre, television and film actor, best known for his starring roles in HBO’s critically acclaimed HOUSE OF THE DRAGON, the hit Hulu series THE GREAT, as well as Apple TV’s SLOW HORSES starring Gary Oldman. 

Previous television credits include the fourth season of Netflix’s hit series THE CROWN, BBC and Amazon’s THE PURSUIT OF LOVE starring alongside Lily James, Andrew Scott and Dominic West, and the lead role of ‘Jeremy Bamber’ in WHITE HOUSE FARM for ITV and Netflix. He can also be seen in Matt Berry’s Channel 4 comedy THE YEAR OF THE RABBIT and Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series THE GENTLEMEN.

Freddie will next be seen in Amazon’s highly anticipated upcoming series BLADERUNNER 2099, also starring Michelle Yeoh, Hunter Schafer and Tom Burke.

Freddie’s film credits include Thomas Clay’s FANNY LYE DELIVER’D alongside Maxine Peake and Charles Dance, which premiered at the London Film Festival in 2019, Paul McGuigan’s VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN, THE THREE MUSKETEERS directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and BLACK 47, starring alongside Hugo Weaving and Jim Broadbent, which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2018. Other notable credits include Lone Scherfig’s THE RIOT CLUB, PRIDE directed by Matthew Warchus as well as Guy Ritchie’s KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD. 

Freddie’s theatre work includes starring as ‘Charles Marlow’ in SHE STOOPS TO CONQUERER at the Orange Tree Theatre in 2023, the lead of Guildford Shakespeare Company’s production of HAMLET in 2022, and 2019 production of EDMOND DE BERGERAC as ‘Edmond Rostand’. He performed alongside his father Edward Fox in AN IDEAL HUSBAND at the Vaudeville Theatre directed by Jonathan Church, and was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the 2017 Olivier Awards for his performance in Tom Stoppard’s TRAVESTIES directed by Patrick Marber in the West End. In 2016, he was nominated for an Ian Charleson Award for his performance as ‘Romeo’ in ROMEO AND JULIET starring opposite Morfydd Clark at the Sheffield Crucible, a role he later reprised in Kenneth Branagh's West End production, starring opposite Lily James.

As a director, Freddie’s work includes HERO, starring Charles Dance, James Norton and Jessica Findlay-Brown which won the Directorial Discovery Award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival. He’s currently producing and directing a documentary entitled LIGHTING UP THE STAGE and is in development on his first feature film.
